When you are concerned about your health, you want a doctor to see and treat you as quickly as possible. With Berkshire Imaging you will receive a prompt and accurate diagnosis.
You can eat normally and take routine medication unless advised otherwise. You'll change into a gown and remove any metal items such as jewellery or hearing aids.
You lie on a moving table that slides into the scanner. It's painless, though noisy, and your radiographer can see and talk to you throughout.
You can usually resume normal activities immediately. Your results will be sent to your doctor to discuss with you.
We offer MRI scans of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, knee, hips, shoulder, wrist, ankle, elbow, prostate, liver and gallbladder, pelvis, head and neck.
The scanner is open at both ends and located in a spacious room. You'll be given ear plugs or headphones for the noise, plus a call bell to alert the radiographers if needed.

We do not provide results directly to patients. Your report is sent securely to your referring clinician, who will discuss the findings with you.
